Sylvan Learning of Rochester

Sylvan has been great for my 10-year-old daughter. Two years of distance learning and large classroom size has set our daughter back in math and reading. Sylvan’s small group setting has helped boost her confidence and encouraged more participation in class. We thought it would be difficult convincing her to go three times a week, but she looked forward to it. She really enjoys the reading challenges and earning points to use at the store. All the teachers are very nice, patient and provide encouragement. We highly recommend Sylvan!

Sylvan staff has been very helpful from the start of this process. It was a hard sell to get my son to go there because the last thing he wanted was to "go to school" in the summer, however, he said, "the teachers are nice, patient, and helpful" which has motivated him to continue his learning at Sylvan. Sylvan has been instrumental in helping my daughter tackle her advanced classes in high school. The entire staff is easy to contact and works on assisting the child with the overall understanding of any subject that is brought to them. A special acknowledgment is due to Keith for helping her understand and enjoy AP physics. I highly recommend going to Sylvan for anyone wanting homework help, test preparation, and ACT prep.

We turned to Sylvan when our son needed a boost transitioning from algebra to geometry, as well as help with his organizational/study skills. The staff at Sylvan performed an evaluation to identify and taylor a plan to address his specific needs, listened to/accommodated our requests, and kept us well informed of our students progress. If we are to need tutorial services in the future, Sylvan Learning Center will be at the top of our list.

I've been very impressed with the growth and progress our child made in a short time. Our daughter got the confidence boost she needed to feel excited about reading and to excel. We've loved the kind and encouraging atmosphere for them and the communication and follow up with us as been great as well.
